Country Furnishings of Taos (CFT) was founded 28 years ago to sell sturdy hand-crafted painted furniture to wholesale accounts around the country. As the business grew, and to meet a growing local clientele’s demand, CFT began offering home accessories, decorative items and gifts, slowly bringing in other types of furniture, home décor, folk art and gifts in an effort to carry something to please everyone.Country Furnishings of Taos has grown into the premier Northern New Mexico retail home furnishings store with products ranging from hand-made furniture, to original art, and local and international crafts or gift items. The products range in price from a few dollars to large furniture and works of art offered for hundreds of dollars. Most of the inventory is purchased by the owner at international wholesale markets and from regional and local artists and crafts people. The vast majority of CFT’s sales come from locals, repeat visitors, and part-time residents.
